Wedgie

Full EPP Wedgie is "HERE"!

This 34" span flying wing uses commonly available Speed 400 type components which many of you already have from other projects. The low weight (15-16 oz RTF) and low drag, combine to provide performance that will have your friends believing you have a big dollar motor onboard.
The Wedgie is quite capable of performing  many maneuvers at lower throttle settings than most pilots are used to.
Once you have it trimmed out, back off the throttle and see how well it still performs. Sustained inverted flight at partial throttle (the whole flight if you wish) is common. Fly a pylon pattern inverted, it will do it if you can. Play with the CG. Inverted flight should take just a "breath" of down elevator. Remember on the first flight to add a little up trim and throw hard. Fast planes need to take off with more airspeed.

Product Review on the Wedgie - RCM Oct 2002 page 150

Wedgies have been clocked at over 65 mph in level flight, and well over 95 mph out of dives! Clocked on a radar gun! Such speed also gives wonderful vertical performance. All that from a stock speed 400 motor! Yes it is a fast plane at full power, but it's just as much fun at half power for those that are not "speed freaks". Standard kit MM-57 includes airframe, hardware, plastic & winglets only. No power equipment is provided.
The Wedgie has been declared one the fastest stock production wings.
Replacement plastic parts:
Battery Cover, Motor Cover
New Motor Mount
Winglets
